LOCAL OUTREACH

Clearwater Community Church seeks to mobilize our church into significant community service motivated by our love for Jesus Christ. Church members are involved in a variety of local ministries in Pinellas County.

In the past, disaster relief and recovery in North America has been overlooked for aid to foreign nations.  However, as illustrated by the events surrounding Hurricane Katrina in 2005, there are many in need in our own backyard.  We feel that the resources of the church body, through the empowering of the Holy Spirit, can be a helping hand in times of disaster for those in need in our community and in our country.

Since its inception, Clearwater Community Church has been committed to the Great Commission to make disciples of every nation through Praying, Giving, and Going so that people from every nation, tongue, and tribe will worship the one true God. 

Praying for missionaries, joining an Advocacy Team and participating in short-term mission trips are ways you can start engaging with our more than 20 international missionaries we support around the globe.

Join an Advocacy Team

CCC supports advocacy teams for our missionaries. A team consists of 6-8 people who meet periodically via email or video conferencing to care, represent and pray for CCC's missionaries. If you want to join or lead one of these teams please email Debbie. 

ADVOCACY TEAMS ARE:

Missionary Care means praying for those who are living in challenging environments, Raising their children far from family, as well as dealing with Cultural adjustments, and Language barriers. Missionaries need to know that they are not alone.

Representation means the Advocacy Team champions the missionary to our church body and advocates ongoing participation in ministry. It also means building a sense of connection to our workers.

An Extension of Clearwater Community Church means the team provides Communication with CCC, prayer requests for the digital Monthly Prayer Booklet (available by request to Debbie), and accountability of both the Advocacy Team and the Missionaries.

Short Term Mission Trips

Do you sense the Holy Spirit possibly leading you into missions?   If so, an important first step is to talk with someone on the CCC Missions Committee or even an Elder at our church.   We desire to help equip and send individuals who want to be part of the Great Commission to go unto all the world.  Once you are sure that this is for you, with either a short-term trip or long-term missions pursuit, one of the following applications should be completed and given to the Missions Committee.
