Ron and Karen Oates serve in England with Military Community Youth Ministries, a part of Youth for Christ, where Ron is Community Director for RAF Mildenhall-Lakenheath.
Ron grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA and Karen grew up in San Diego, CA. They met on a summer mission trip to Europe 21 years ago. Ron graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University with a major in Bible and a minor in Christian education, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Biblical Studies. With 20 years of ministry experience, serving as Youth Pastor and most recently as a Worship Pastor, God has fulfilled a dream to serve Him in Europe back where it all began for them. Ron & Karen have a passion to see the next generation of students reached for Christ and feel honored to serve the families of our military. They have been blessed to serve on 21 short term missions trips to 16 different countries and are excited for this new adventure with Youth for Christ/MCYM. Their team has expanded over the years to include their four wonderful children: Micah 16, Hannah 14, Josiah 12 & Clara 8.
