A Word About Their Ministry
Word of Life Nigeria began in December of 2000. It has been a blessing to watch the Lord grow this ministry. We have several different facets to the ministry of Word of Life Nigeria: Bible Clubs, Fulani outreach and Discipleship Training Centers, Evangelism Crusades and “Born Again to a Living Hope” drama presentations.
The Bible Club ministry has really grown over these last 6 years, with over 50 Clubs. We have a great opportunity to start over 6,000 Bible Clubs through a large evangelical denomination. Of course, we have a real need for more personnel to help with this large task.
Our Fulani ministry has been quite rewarding. Hundreds of Fulani have come to know Christ as their personal Savior. The Fulani are a mostly Muslim tribe here in West Africa. Scores of them have been trained in our Fulani Discipleship Training Centers and we have one couple in Bible School, training to be a pastor to his own people.
Through the evangelistic crusades, which reach the remote villages in Nigeria, thousands have heard the Gospel and accepted Christ. The “Born Again to a Living Hope” team ministers to young people in high schools and colleges. The message of the drama is HIV/AIDS awareness, purity and the need for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
As a personal ministry through our local church, Bette and I host a “Couples Fellowship” and Children’s ministry at our home every week. We praise the Lord that we have 36 adults and 46 children that attend each week.
Over the last year, the Lord has brought thousands to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through these different ministries. We are pleased to be a part of what God is doing in Nigeria!
